Equestrian Training All Year Round

Escape the crowded every day rush with a "Time Out" here on Schooleys Mountain, Morris County

Re-discover the pleasures of nature close to home

Follow Your Dream and let it happen

At Snowbird we’re not just Hunters and Jumpers, we want to offer our students the whole experience with horses. In an effort to merge the disciplines where we all speak the same language “HORSE”. Dressage is the basic training of the horse to do under saddle what he brilliantly does when he’s free. If you can’t spend too much time with horses then we want to introduce you to our best friend "The Horse".

We believe that confidence in the horse starts with handling them from the ground. Therefore all lesson time is scheduled for actual instruction. But we would like you to be here a half hour before and for at least a half hour after your scheduled instruction time. There is no charge for this extra time it is our intention to teach you animal care and management at no additional charge.

  • Now that here in the suburbs we no longer have much open spaces to learn the Horse Show is a way to measure progress. The entrants in a horse represent an average and it is the opinion of a Judge for only one minute of your life watching you ride. But it let's you know if you are doing your personal best and where you stand in relation to the average as a rider with your approximate experience.

Horse Shows are a way to learn how to be prepared for the real world. Learning to turn yourself and your horse out properly is part of horsemanship. And it prepares you for how to get ready when you need to apply for a job. Learning to be ready and on time for your classes is a work skill as well as a riding skill.
